Panama Explorer- January (9-21 January 2009)
This 13 day tour is a superb introduction to the tropics. This trip provides the chance to see the incredible diversity of landscapes and habitats available in Panama. We will spend two days birding the lowland rain forest of Soberania National Park, home to the justifiably famous Pipeline Road. The highlight of the trip is spending three days aboard the spectacular Golden Eagle, a sailboat, cruising through the San Blas Archipelago. In the San Blas we will have the opportunity to bird the little visited rainforests of Caribbean Coast, snorkel over the coral reefs of the region, and experience the culture of the native Kunas. Finally we will spend four days birding the highland cloud forests of Chiriqui Province. A detailed itinerary can be found by clicking here.
