Fairbanks and interior Alaska has a rich, if seasonal, avifauna. During the spring and summer, boreal forest specialties such as Spruce Grouse, Goshawk, Gray Jay, Boreal Chickadee, Pine Grosbeak, Northern Hawk-Owl, and Boreal Owl may be found close to Fairbanks. During trips further afield into the surrounding mountains, one can encounter Arctic Warbler, Wheatear, Rock and WIllow Ptarmigan, nesting shorebirds and other northern species. Half, full or partial day trips can be arranged to fit with your schedule. Email with questions or to schedule a trip.
